I’m a storyteller—it’s been my passion since I was a little girl, writing and illustrating
stories and binding them with ribbon. In the years following the creation of those
earliest crayon-decorated pages, I’ve gone on to release books in a wide variety of
genres. Love romance? Mystery? Sweet uplifting tales? Want a ghost story? Something
that sparkles with a little magic? Looking for something with humor? Are you shopping
for a book for your young reader? Or are you hungry for an old-fashioned mainstream
read that’s more character driven and doesn’t necessarily fit into a genre category?

My work is critically acclaimed and award-winning. I’ve received starred reviews in Booklist and Publishers Weekly,
won silver and gold medals in Foreword INDIES Book of the Year and the IPPY Awards, respectively, been featured
on Booklist’s Best First Novels for Youth and School Library Journal’s What’s Hot in YA, and chosen as a PW Pick
of the Week. I’ve also made the Master Lists for several children’s book awards, including the Missouri Mark Twain
Award.
I’ll continue branching out, taking on new genres and platforms. Adding illustrations and designing the books when
the project calls for it. Like any storyteller, I go where the story takes me.
